2019 Scottish Capall “Horse” Boarding Competitions
September 6-8, 2019

Scottish Horse Boarding Competition Rules:

Competition comes with a 3 day festival gate pass.
All protective gear will be provided by the Longs Peak Scottish Irish Highland Festival.
All Competitors must wear protective gear to compete and tennis shoes or boots will be preferred. NO SANDALS.
Scottish Horse Boarding Competition will be accumulative and is a “timed” event. There will be a course
set up in the Arena each day for the competition  runs daily. Tentative Times are 11:00 AM 
Each day the course will have increasing levels of difficulty.


Competition Fee: Scottish Horse Boarding Team $100.00

A Team consists of a horse, driver and board rider; with the opportunity of the driver being the board rider.
The team has to compete in all 6 events throughout the weekend to qualify for the prize money.
This event is a three day Rain, Snow, or Shine.

Individual Competitor with horse rental and rider $20.00 per ride, two events per day Friday, Saturday and Sunday (6 events).
Individual Competitor consists of a board rider only. The festival will provide the horse and driver.
All Individual Competitor may compete for prize money, but must compete in all 6 events throughout the weekend.


Prizes will be awarded to the accumulative fastest times on Sunday afternoon.

4th place $100.00
Individual Competitor Prize:
1st place $100.00
2nd place $75.00
3rd place $50.00

1. The undersigned understands that Horse Dirt Boarding activities have personal risk factors in the training, performing and related activities which could result in serious injury, permanent or partial disability, or death.
2. The undersigned warrants and acknowledges that he/she is in good physical condition and able to perform the jousts. The undersigned further acknowledges that the Longs Peak Scottish/Irish Highland Festival is relying on the undersigned’s representation as to his/her physical condition ,experience, prior training and ability to perform the horse dirt boarding competition at this event.
3. The undersigned hereby agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Longs Peak Scottish/Irish Highland Festival, Inc., and their officers, employees, and agents from any and all claims, actions, debts, injuries, liabilities, whether arising by contract, tort, or otherwise, out of the training, exercises and/or performance of the U.S. International Horse Boarding Competition, I do represent that I am 18 years of ages or older. I recognize and appreciate any dangers and risks inherent in volunteering or participating for festival events. I am submitting this release and waiver of liability declaration voluntarily and of my own free will. I have no physical or emotional problems, nor any history thereof, which will impair my ability to volunteer for the Longs Peak Scottish Irish Highland Festival, Inc. I hold harmless and agree to indemnify the Longs Peak Scottish Irish Highland Festival,Inc., its of?cers, directors or employees, agents, Town of Estes Park and volunteers from all claims, liability, and damages I may sustain from any bodily injury, personal injury or property damage which may occur from any cause, including negligence, before, during or after any Longs Peak Scottish Irish Highland Festival, Inc event in which I participate or volunteer. I grant the Longs Peak Scottish Irish Highland Festival, Inc. and its agents, the exclusive right to use my name, likeness, photos, or reproduction for any purpose,advertising or other purposes. I acknowledge that I have read and understand this entire Waiver of Liability and Release, and I agree to be legally bound by it. Estes Park is a small town. Therefore, all guests bands, entertainers, athletes, jousters, are considered ambassadors and representatives of the Festival. It is therefore imperative that behavior be above reproach on and off the Festival Arena or Field.
4. The undersigned acknowledges that he/she has read this agreement, has consulted with an attorney as to the contents hereof, or hereby waives such consultation, and has received a copy of this agreement.
5. WARNING Under Colorado Law, an equine professional is not liable for an injury to or the death of a participant in equine activities resulting from the inherent risks of equine activities, pursuant to section 13-21-119, Colorado Revised Statutes.

**Longs Peak Scottish Irish Highland Festival Inc.(scotfest) reserves all video and photo rights incurred at the festival.
